A $300 non-refundable deposit will hold your place in the selection order for a new puppy. When we are in our preliminary deposit session before the puppies are born, we realize time is of the essence when placing your deposit. An extra 10 second delay can literally move a person down 10 spots in the selection order. Because of this, I accept Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal to streamline the process. During the regular deposit session (this occurs after the puppies have arrived and we have open slots, we expand your alternatives to pay by Zelle and we even accept Credit Cards! Please see the “Deposit Procedure” page for more details on how this works.
Puppy selections are made on the day of puppy pick up. We believe this is a very big step for most puppy-parents, so to be fair we want you to have the opportunity to watch all the puppies as they grow bigger and develop their little personalities. Selecting your puppy at eight weeks will also allow you to better identify size and coloration if that is your preference.
Question: What’s the difference between Limited AKC registration and Full AKC registration?
Answer: When purchasing a Golden Retriever puppy, understanding the difference between Limited and Full AKC Registration is important—especially if you’re considering breeding in the future.
Limited AKC Registration
Limited registration means your puppy is officially recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) as a purebred Golden Retriever. This status ensures that:
-
Your puppy’s breeder has met AKC requirements for responsible breeding.
-
Your puppy will be entered into the official AKC database and assigned a unique registration number.
-
You will receive official registration papers along with a 3-generation pedigree chart to trace your puppy’s ancestry.
Note: Dogs with limited registration cannot produce AKC-recognized litters. This option is ideal for families looking for a companion or quality dog without breeding rights.
🐶 Full AKC Registration
Full registration includes all the benefits of limited registration, plus breeding rights. If you choose to breed your Golden Retriever in the future:
-
Both the sire and dam must have Full AKC Registration for the litter to be recognized by the AKC.
-
This allows the puppies to be officially registered and eligible for AKC events and programs.
Full registration is typically reserved for experienced breeders or individuals committed to maintaining the AKC’s high standards for breeding practices. Full AKC registrations are a decision that will be made on a case by case basis. If approved, they will be available for an additional $1100 per pup. Deposits are $500.
