Luna

Luna is the daughter of Jax and Pinky, produced from their one and only pairing. Pinky comes from our darker red line through Gunner and Abby, and Jax has been our long-standing, dependable stud who is now enjoying retirement. With parents like that, Luna carries a strong mix of temperament and color that has always been important to our program.

She was born in February 2024 and originally went home as a puppy. Her owners later reached out and asked if we would take her back. We did without hesitation, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. She fit right into the group from the moment she returned and naturally earned her place in our breeding program.

Luna is an incredibly loving dog. She truly enjoys attention and leans into every moment you give her. When I walk up to her, she never fails to greet me with soft whimpers and that excited wiggle that lets you know she’s been waiting for her time. When she sits beside me, she almost always sets her paw on my foot — it’s her way of staying connected.

Since returning in October 2024, she’s formed a strong bond with Max. Those two play together constantly, and she’s even taught him a few wrestling moves. Their personalities complement each other well, and we expect good things from that pairing moving forward.

Luna brings a lot of heart, loyalty, and affectionate temperament to Big Lake Goldens. She’s the kind of dog who makes you glad she found her way back home.
